Nikujaga Beef Stew


 

Ingredients

200 gram Beef slices 

3 Potato - chunks

1 Carrot - chunks

1 Onion - Sliced

Green snow pea

2 Tablespoon soy sauce

2 Tablespoon Sake

150ml Dashi stock


Method 

  1. Lightly fry beef , remove most of the beef. Leaving a few slices in the pan
  2. Add potato, carrot to the pan. Cook until they start to soften
  3. Add onions. 
  4. Add beef back to the pan
  5. Add Dashi stock
  6. Add Sake
  7. Cover lid and lightly simmer (~10min)  
  8. Add soy sauce 
  9. Check potato are cooked through 
  10. Add snow pea 
  11. Cover and cook 1 more minute
