Recipe - Aussie Meat Pie

Ingredient 

Shortcrust pastry 

Minced Beef 150g (make 2 meat pie)

Diced carrot x 0.5 

Diced Onion x 0.5

Mushroom 

Cornflour in water

Worcestershire sauce x 1 tablespoon

Tomato sauce 

Beaten Egg 


Method

1. Heat oil in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Add onion and mushroom. Cook for 3 minutes or until soft. Add minced beef. Cook for 4 minutes, stir with a wooden spoon until browned.


2. Add minced beef to the pan. Add Cornflour, tomato sauces, Worcestershire sauces. Bring to the boil. Reduce heat to medium-low. Simmer for 8 minutes or until thick. Cool down. 


3. Roll and cut the shortcrust pastry to the pie dishes. Fill with the beef mixture. Cut another piece of shortcrust pastry to cover the meat. Press to seal. Brush with beaten egg on top of pastry. 


4. Preheat the oven to 220°C. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden. Serve.
